I attended my first yoga class in Sandusky while in high school. As an athlete, I was always looking for ways to stay fit and healthy, and it was a great complement to my training as a runner which sometimes took a toll on my body. Over the years, I turned to my yoga practice during challenging times in my life for the calming and grounding force it provided. And observing the positive benefits, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for teacher training in 2015. I completed my RYT 200 that same year and was inspired to keep learning as I discovered how much more there is to yoga than the physical practice of asana. I pursued training in trauma informed yoga as well as pre-natal yoga, and completed my 300-hour teacher training in 2021.
Sharing the transformational power of yoga with others is a passion of mine, my intention being to help others build familiarity and confidence with a tool kit of self-care and mind-body-breath modalities they can practice anywhere, anytime. I aim to create a positive learning environment where individuals’ strengths are celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and where listening to one’s own body on the mat is paramount.
